The BJP is planning to project Scheduled Tribes leader and Lok Sabha member from Bellary, B Sriramulu, as a deputy chief ministerial candidate ahead of the upcoming assembly election, a strategic move aimed at reaching out to Dalits, who have traditionally supported the Congress.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ದಲಿತರ ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆಯುವ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡದ ನಾಯಕ- ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಸಂಸದ ಬಿ.ಶ್ರೀರಾಮುಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಗಿ ಬಿಂಬಿಸಲು ಹೊರಟಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ವಿಜಯಿಯಾದರೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮುಲು ಡೆಪ್ಯೂಟಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಎಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.
